06 eclipse

The SEMA show on ESPN said that the new Eclipse will have a 3.8 liter 6 cylinder engine producing approx 260 hp i think and you can get it with a 6 speed manual tranny

wow. too bad the car looks like crap. literaly. like the big mitsubishi monster just took a squat, and out came the little 4g eclipse. and with the current financial state of the company, they too are along for the ride down the crapper. too bad, 'cause the vr-4's were really nice.

3.8 is too big for a mitsubishi...

Mitsubishi has been producing a 3.8 for a while. Its just been in their Euro and African market on their truck's and shit. That not enogh HP though for that big of an engine.

the '05 Galant has the 3.8L in it

the eclipse will look alot like the galant, just with 2 doors. so it will have the same engine and probably the same suspension parts

the 3.8 is the same engine from the 04 galants but it has mivec,it will be the same engine in the 06 raliart galnt if they come out with it .but the 4g eclipse will be heavyer then the 3g .the prob with the eclipse is that they keep making it heavyer.and i dont think they ever said any thing about a 6 speed in it,but i can find out if they plan to or not

you knwo....mustangs have had 3.8's since 95 at least!! and htey made 150hp back in thatday...the newer ones have 190... gee ford engineering is absolutely wonderful

No longer can we make fun of Ford's pathetic 6 cylinder Mustang Engine. The 05 has 210 hp and 240 lb/ft.

.. mitsu is doing that with the new 3.8 v6 mivec which has like 50 more hp then the ford v6 . and for mitsu making a light 3000gt will never ,i dont think mitsu will ever make a light car they keep geting heavyer and heavyer dang rice chassis

yeah they upped the hp but also upped the weight. the added weight counteracts with the added hp

All i know is that if the body shape is the same as the concept e, the fuckin thing will look like a VW new beetle mixed with a fuckin 350z front end, and a world of bullshit hyped all around it... Who the fuck designed this thing... I'm an eclipse fan to the fullest but if they make this thing look the way it does, it will not sell... I dont care what kind of 3.8 they throw in it, it looks like shit... and it wont have my check book behind it...

nah its not gonna look like the concept. have you seen the 2005 galants? they will look alot like those just with 2 doors instead of 4
