ME! It's easy. First, you need to open your computer. Then, locate the current RAM. If you are replacing it, just pull back the 2 white clips, and put the new chip in. Make sure it is nice and secure with the white clips. If you are adding, just place the chip in another free slot. :) It is very easy to do even if you haven't done it before. Don't worry about messing things up because the RAM can only go in one way.

Thank you for the advice MBTN. Unfortunately, I woke up this morning sick, so I think I'm going to focus on getting better before I tackle my laptop to add this memory card. I'll keep you updated! :)

So its a laptop? What brand and model? Some of them can be quite diffucult, while others are very easy, even easier than a desktop.

Most laptop manufacturers have a step-by-step walkthrough on the website for installing ram (they sometimes have pictures :) ), that you could print out.

If its an IBM, im very familiar with these and can point you to a good link. Wont take you more than 5 minutes, and you should be done.

btw, hope you are feeling better soon, Dantes. :)

Sorry...I neglected to mention that small little oversight. Yes, it's a laptop. A Gateway Solo 5200 (I believe)...anyway...we'll see how it goes. Right now I feel as if my head is going to fall off and I can't guarantee that I'm not going to throw up any minute...
