Help again!!!

Okay I just put new rear end in since my gears broke last time.. after I put it on the rear end axle.. how come my transmission doesn't work in drive, or over drive.. it only works if i start first gear to drive.., reverse works fine and parking works fine.. but why do i have to start first gear then i can shift to drive to go in other gears? Is it my adjustment messed up or something? Help please.

sounds like you damaged the tranny when the gears broke.
