SR motor speed cutout

for all of you with the SR motor...what speed does your speed cut kill you at...i was driving my car...finally got a speed sensor and i was doing alittle above 110...maybe 115 or 120 and it kicked on...no exatly sure how accurate my speedo is right now...going to have a cop clock me...oh yea and write off my no front licence plate bull shit...grrrr...stupid law..

stock sr20's top out around 115...well my friends does and mine did. I paid 350 for the ecu tunning and now i'm guessing 140. my speedometer only goes to 120

you have to hate those damn cut outs :mad: only makes you have to pay more for another ecu alowing you to top out better, damn it sucks.

well if your smart what you do is...well that is if your racing or something...just disconnect the speed sensor...if your speedo reads 0 then you can go as fast as you want to...lol...little trick i learned with not having a speedo...funny thing is...with my sr i hit my cut out at about 4500 rpm and the other day i was doing around 6500rpm...so im thinking that 6500 is around 140ish...dunno though..speedo only goes to 110...shitty

Get a Nismo speedo, with the S13 it goes up to 270kmh, about 170mph. If you go faster then that then you're a retarded person who shouldn't have a license.

where do you find that nismo speedo?

i was told that you can install a switch in the wire that connects the speed sensor or something so the ECU cant activate the cut off

my suspention is not made for over 100 mph anyways so i'm cool on that 120 mph thing...
2.2 degree camber front and 1/8 tow rear, pluse my tie rods are shorten for beter responce. the cut back is that its shitty for high speed, but hela responcive for curves.

sr cuts out at 180kmph like most japanese cars, if not all... Skyline, silvia etc etc I know have it.

i dunno precisely but i think 180kmph is around 110-120

acutally hks makes a SLD (Speed Limit Defencer) that makes it to you dont have a speed cut..125 bucks..

oh yea...i wouldnt want to get nismo speedo becuase kph, i cant just do the conversion like that...damn the US and not teaching kids the conversion...

lol, same here, I can'T drive with MPH, I mean I know the conversion, but I gotta think about it for a second, KMH is like second nature to me.
