I like my grand am and even though I wont have it more than 4 more years since I have passed the 100k mile mark, I still want to customize it a bit. What size wheels will the wheel base allow and is it possible to replace the stock lighting system with anything that out there that may be Xenon head or racing lights?

Also, if anyone is near Sherman Oaks, CA, I found a place that will Guarantee window tinting for a lifetime against warping fading peeling and cracking and it's only $150. I think that's a good price.

what year g/a?

the tinting is a good price, just hope the place doesn't go out of business before that. That's what happened to me same deal and all.

as far as lighting goes, the only lights they aftermarket for 99+ is the fog lights, and the taillights. most people just change out the bulbs with a different type maybe someone can help out on which ones are better and/or brighter. I'm in the market for new/used headlights for the 99+ cause the best thing i've found out is to customize it your own way so i'm going to make either carbonfiber "look" headlights or smoked headlights, unsure though... tough market on ebay at the moment

You can get replacement bulbs , I use silverstars and it made a frieght train of a difference. I talked to a tire shop and they said they could easily put 18 inch rims on the car with low profile tires. I had a 1985 grand am and it never died I sold it for beer at 400,000 miles cus it was rusting out entirely I bought it used and it kept goin for a few years and I saw it just the other day ripping around. I sold that car 6 years ago lol.

My car is at 100,000 miles. it used to be a rental. Just found out today that the fuel injector is busted. Aamco is estimating the cost at $690 for repairs and parts. does that sound right?

anyway, 18 inch low profile, but how deep can we go? 8 inch base? is that possible?

Ouch that sucks. As for tubing it in the arches you can put maximum 8 inch wide or 225/45/r18's with stock hub assembly and with hub extensions you just increase with the extensions and may have to change to different lug patterns for huge rims ,,,,,, well id imagine but im no tire/rim expert.
