performance differences between 1st and 2nd gen rx7`

i was wondering how a first generation rx7 could compete with a second generation, a couple friends of mine are both getting rx7's, and they think it would be pretty cool if we all got them so i guess im in with them, my original plan was a turbo 2nd gen, but first gen is a lot cheaper, but its not turbo so how would it compete with the second gen? and is there any aftermarket turbo for the 1st gen?

T2s are 2800lbs and an Fb is 2300lbs. according you can get a T2 engine in an fb for the same amount of money it would cost to buy a T2, you'll be more performant that way in a straight line, T2s will handle a bit better, but that can be easely corrected, theres far more aftermarket stuff and support for 1st gen than any other rx7, since they are by far more raced and older (more developed even if their design is a bit old)

i think theres more aftermarket for the 2nd gen, but thats just me...

maybe i look too much of these 1st gen sites and not enough for the Fcs, hahaha
