I have a scanner that works on my lumina, but comes back "connection failed" on my buick. The Car is not running currently, hence the reason for me testing it. It will run on starting fluid, but as soon as you take starting fluid away, it dies. It sounds like it wants to Start, but just cant. I have over 40lbs of fuel pressure, brand new spark plugs, wires, etc. New fuel filter. All of the electronics in the car work, the lights, computer telling temperature turn on radio. I really dont know what the heck is going on. The battery is also new. Any help would be appreciated.

errr as far as i can remember the 94's dont have OBD2... they have OBD1.. maybe the communication is incompatible between the 2?

and if it works on starting fluid then it HAS to be something worng with the EFI system....

what i would try first is unplugging the battery for about 20 minutes... then repluging it and try it again.

as for the OBD2 scanner.. i really dont think there compatible with the old obd1 system

if by any chance you DO have a obd2 on board the car.. which i think came into effet as of 1996, anyways, if you do have it in the car and you got no communication with the scanner.. and you got no fuel going it, then it might be the ECM thats dead, or it doesn't have any voltage going into it.. fuse maybe?

hope this helps
