Lets see.. 97 blazer, won't start. The first thing that comes to mind is the ignition switch. It is a real problem for these blazer's. search this forum for more horror stories on them. If it doesn't cure your problem, it will be something that will save you money later (like when you breakdown on the side of the road like me and have to get it towed)
Good Luck.

Also check for fuel pressure at the shrader valve. Do you hear the fuel pump kick on when you turn the ignition to the RUN position?

if the switch is bad sometimes the fuel pump won't get power so you might not here it

yes, i do have fuel pressure and hear the fuel pump kick on anytime when the key turn on run position. do you think the scanner may let me know the fuel pump its bad. i used the EZ 6000 scanner to scan but i don't see any trouble code. scan said.{ pass {[ no code returned]
do you think maybe ignition switch. i didn't check it out yet

thank you for your reply and suggestion i appreciated

A bad fuel pump won't show up through the ECM... What is the pressure at the shrader valve? It should be 56-60 at start, 61-65 at running

Actually, a 1997 should be 60-66psi with the key in the ON position and the truck not started.

!996+ requires a little more pressure and could be the reason they are so sensitive to a lack of fuel pressure.
