V6 in a 2gen?? is this factory??

Me and my friend got into a heated debate about 2g and 3g eclipses at work..neither one of us think highly of the 3gen.. but he told me that a few of the later 2gen models came with a V6 engine... I looked around everywhere and i have yet to find a 2g with a V6 anywhere (he said i'd have a 1 out of 100 chance of finding one)... a couple years ago i was at a supermarket and i did see a V6 decal on a 2g Eclipse.. I just figured the owner did a engine swap

LOL.. there are no V6 2g eclipses from the factory.
Just cause I put a NOS badge on my car does not mean that I have nitrous.

^^ yea but this eclipse was clean.. no other decals or nothing.. i mean the guy had to be a real asshole to put that type of a decal on a car for just show... Can a V6 actually fit in a 2gen.. its seems like it'd be a shitload of work

Negative. There are no 2nd gen eclipses that come from the factory with a v6, or an inline-6 for that matter. .

anything is possible with the right amount of money

my sisters cirrus has a small ass V-6 it would be tight as hell but i bet it would fit in my RS but its only 40 HP for ALOT of work... and money... go for some better mods rather than a V6 upgrade

with the right tools and $$ anything is possible.

the subframe and engine from an avenger would bolt right into a 2G, that would probably be the only way to do it. Wouldn't be terribly fast though.

A 3.5 V6 6G74 dett would fit with alot of work. and would make a nice rwd conversion for the eclipse gsx if you could keep the rear differential together.

True, you can do anything with the right amount of money, but why would anyone in their right mind try to put a V6 in an eclipse, when the 4 can do just as much damage.
