Hello everyone. Just purchased a 1993 S10 Blazer. When you shift out of park and select a gear the needle is in the wrong spot. Its always one spot behind the actual gear. If anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated. Thank You in advance.

The gear selector indicator is controlled by what looks like a piece of black fishing line or what used to be called dial cord. It clips on to the back of the cup that turns with the shifter lever. You may have to disassemble the dash in order to get to it.

Thank You very much. I have a loose connection anyway behind the digital dash that needs attention.
