ok, so im no newbie to AF, but i am to car modeling. i dropped by the local hobby store today to pick up a x-mas present and model kits were 40% off, i couldnt refuse. i thought to myself "self, those guys on AF have some really good looking models...maybe you should do that" and so im trying. i picked up a revell 1968 firebird 400 ram air kit.

i have no digital camera, but everyone i know does, so i'll get some progress pics for you eventually. expect no stupid noob questions out of me, ive done a good bit of reading a research before hand.

anyways...thanks for getting me into this.

Welcome to the forum. Enjoy your stay, questions arent a problem just make sure they arent pure stupidness or the answers could be found by a simple search. Other then that, most of us here would be glad to help, and keep us updated!!! Good Luck!

GOOD LUCK! i think your only goal for your first model should be to finish it. dont worry about details, just finishing a model teaches you the steps of modelling from start to finish so next time you can plan ahead a little more. so dont worry if you forgot this or that. finishing is going to teach you the most at this point! please post pics when possible.

well, for an update, ive got the main parts assembled. the interior and the chassis (for lack of a better term) and im trying desperatly to paint things, not going too well.

i bought this really cool color blue for the body, but its in cheap-o spray paint form...any tips on getting a halfway decent gleam out of it? (besides not using black primer....geez that was a moron thing to do)
