For those who don't know, Renaissance is a small French company that makes model kits. Etienne Dhont is the owner and he goes to Le Mans every year and takes tons of photo's. Here is a link to the EMI photo's he has put up on his site.

I've seen his photo's of the Cesar McLaren, he has around 80 or so. I'm sure he has every McLaren that raced at Le Mans, so keep checking his site every once in a blue moon.
If you tool around in the 1/43 section, you can see builtups of the Macs he has kits of.

Nice find on the EMI McLaren. Thanks for the link and the post. Are the Cesar McLaren photos posted on the site or did you just personally see those photos? It would be nice to have something besides the postage stamp sized photos of all the other McLarens that ran at LeMans. Thanks again for the post.

Does anyone know where this car is now (#24R)? and what about the class winning #20R, where's it at?

I've seen the photos personally, he is in the process of getting his images scanned. I'm told he has somewhere around 20,000 photo's from over the years. I will dig up another email address. I bought photo's of macs in tech inspection at LM from another Frenchman, he also has on track shots that are quite good.

Great photos from a nice website! I had seen the photos of his 1/43rd completed models, but never any of his reference shots. If he ends up sharing more like that we would of course love to see them. I've mentioned it many times, but since the digital age of cameras was in it's infancy at the time I am quite sure there are tons of people out there with photos of McLarens hiding in drawers, boxes or photo albums and anytime someone is willing to share it's like uncovering pieces of history.
As for the location of #24R, the last I have seen of it, it was still in Steve O'Rourke's private collection. Unfortunately he passed away in 2003 (the story on that is here (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=247008) :( ) so it's unclear what may have happened to the car since then.

No. You're not wrong. Same car. Dunno if it was sold or not.
