Bought me a new palm pilot zire 72... current palm pilot count: 5...
#1, palm IIIxe: broken screen
#2, sony clie SJ-20: broken screen
#3, sony clie SJ-30: broken screen (this one only lasted about 2 months... lol)
#4, sony clie T615C: lost somewhere in the house (lasted the longest at 1.5 years)
#5, palm zire 72: current!
Now I have lots of new features to distract me during class...
While I'm on the topic, lets go through my list of cell phones:
#1, nokia 5165: broken screen (smashed by the same backpack as palm pilot #2, oddly enough on friday the 13th)
#2, nokia 8390: defective, replaced under warranty
#3, nokia 8390: smashed by an angry me when my call was picked up by the girl's answering machine :loser:
#4, LG 1150: my current phone, this time I bought the insurance :p
I do believe phone number 1 was made into a christmas tree ornament.

i've had 1 Palm. a Vx that i haven't even set up yet. it used to be my mom's.
i've had 4 cell's. 1st was a shitty Nokia that broke, second was the Samsung Uproar (the one with the built in MP3 player). it fell out of my pocket on a roller coaster (NEVER trust the "cell phone pocket" on a pair of Dickies pants). then i got a Sanyo SCP5000. PIECE OF SHIT! screen broke after 4 months, then i threw it against a wall in anger one day and totalled it.
i now have an LGVX4600. awesome phone, but i want an N-Gage.
my family is a very Palm-oriented family...here's our list of gadgets currently:
Dad:
Garmin Palm Pilot/GPS combo
Sony Clie Palm (the one with the full keyboard and the screen that swivels around)
Motorola flip-phone (can't remember the model, but it's brand new)
Mom:
Blackberry
Nokia cell (getting rid of it soon since her blackberry has a phone built in)
Casio pocket PC
sister:
Nokia cellphone. upgrading soon.
me:
Palm Vx
LG cell phone

Palms i've never been a big fan of. But I love my cell phones. Have had quite a few over the years:
Nokia 6150
Nokia 7110
Nokia 8210
Siemens SL45
Ericsson T68
Sony Ericsson P800
Sony Ericsson T610
Sony Ericsson P900 (current)
I have a free upgrade in January (any phone) but don't know what to get. No point getting the P910 as it's essentially the same as the P900... any suggestions?

I've never had a palm thing and probably won't ever have one.
I've only ever had three Cellphones as well:
Samsung something-a-rather. I had to get rid of it because texting from it was a pain in the ass.
Nokia 2280- Worst phone ever made, stopped working so I went to my current phone:
Sony Ericcson K700i- It is indeed a good phone, has everything, though has times where it doesn't work properly.

I've had the original Palm V, and still own it. It's a classic.
For new stuff, my dad got me the Palm Treo 600 PDA and phone by AT&T for my graduation gift, and before that, my first cell phone was the Nokia 3100, then the Seimens SX56 Pocket PC cell phone which broke after i dropped it. After that I returned back to my 3100 for a few months then got the Palm which is amazing.
And I thought I was the only one who threw cell phones against the wall or the floor out of anger.

The less important people are, the more gadgets they have that pertain to a busy lifestyle. Doctors, laywers and my bro who does world wide styling use regular diaries, remember them? Pens, paper?? And a mobile phone only for calls. I don't get why 90% of you need any of these gadgets.

Gadgets are FAR more efficient than the traditional pen and paper, that's why, especially for the disorganised like myself. What makes more sense, having your desk lost under a sea of paper or having all of that information that would have been on that paper put into a device that can be held in your hands and actually will remind you if you forget an appointment/meeting etc.

meh..i've owned probably more phones than all the ones posted so far combined...pretty much the entire Nokia GSM range up to 2003, a dozen Ericsson/Sony Ericsson, a few random CDMA things (Kyocera, Hyundai)....just completely bored of phones now though. Have a Sharp GX10 and just bought a good old Nokia 8850 for 60 bucks, and i really dont care that it hasnt got a camera, or a dictophone, or that it can't download the latest G-Unit ringtone off the interweb, it still looks better than most phones on the market right now (1999 model, 6 years old!) and it calls and texts which is all i really want from it
We have a Compaq IPAQ thing lying around somewhere, most useless gadget ever

Having a 'fucking opinion' is fine. State your own preference by all means but don't lay into someone else's choice if you don't have a clue. Just because someone has a lot of gadgets it doesnt mean they're 'pertaining to a busy lifestyle'. Maybe you feel that way because you don't have a busy lifestyle, but hey, how would i know...
