Hi,

I had experienced a lot of brake fade now that my TarOx rottors are geting to the end of their life cycle, and I was wondering if anyone tryied another setup that is cheap and effective.

I think the european accord and the british civic vti (5 door) have bigger brakes then mine but they still use normal 15" rims. Can anyone confirm that ??

I also have a friend that prepared the car in Idol Motorsport (german tuner) and his front disk brakes are thicker then mines. It seems that its a nissan rottors with a diferent calipers but i'm not shure and the guy (my friend) doesn't know for shure. Any help or comments on this are very welcome.

I wanted to improve my brakes either but fritz_269 told me in here that it would just be a waste of money for my car (´00 Prelude VTi) because the stock brakes are already very good. I´m not sure about it but it could be the same for your car. He told me that I should just get some new quality tires and it should be alright. Maybe you want to post this in the Civic or Let´s get technical! forum!? The problem with four pot calipers (??) could be that you might need 17" (or anything bigger) to be able to use them on your Civic (at least I have this problem). The Spoon four pot calipers should be fine with 16" rims though. I think the rotors your friend is using might be made by `Nissin´ instead of `Nissan´!?

Nope, I think they make some changes using the same rotors used on a nissan.

I only know that accord has 15" rims stock, the '96 model and the models after.... so that should be no problem.
