Ok... Im getting an after market bov, I have search, and listened to sound clips but quality isnt to great so its hard to tell, anyhow... What is the undisputed, loudest bov. Vented and recirculated. I have been looking at greddy type s, greddy type r, greddy type rs, Turbo Xs type H and RFL. Someone just give me a straight up answer. I want it to knock people off the sidewalks...

The Greedy Type-S is more like a whistle. The Turbo XS RFL Type H is loud as hell. I have not heard anything louder.

I have the RFL right now, I would get a good BOV over a loud one for sure, the greddy is loud and decent, HKS the same, tial is loud and the best... you can have the best of both quality and ricer sound.

Well Joe, as far as quality...what do you think of your bov?
As far as it being loud...if im turbod, I want you to know it. Esp. if your a little ricer kid. I want to see the look of sheer terror run across your face as your sitting behind your allmighty D16. And I keep having the craziest dreams about bovs...I think the time is getting near...

I would go with the Greddy, its loud as hell when you vent it. People always turn around to see what it is, and also you can recirculate it!

The Greddy Type-S is DAMN loud when vented, and sounds VERY nice. But Tial is by far the best when it comes to loudnessn AND quality.

type-s does not whistle at full release. a little bit when you are at low boost. probably the most whoosing sound around. HKS's have a whistle sound. kinda annoying.
i should have the type-RS next week and i'll give a write-up with some install pics. kinda looks like the RFL, so it may be loud as hell...

In all my years DSMing, the RFL is Really Fuckin Loud, without a doubt. Its completely unnecessary and uncalled, exactly why I liked it so much :D But it leaked like a bastard at the o-ring seals. You can buy the output that allows recirculation if is runs like shit vented. In my experience the car was driveable, but not perfect. MAFt highly recomended if BOV voume is really important to you. Which is fine. I miss my RFL :) I wouldnt trade a quiet BOV for a leaky one though, use at your own (performance) risk.
Alright, enough whoring up this section for now...

I bought the car with it, god forbid I buy a RFL. I have a type S in the closet on an RRE upper piece, which goes on when the turbo goes on.
How do I like it? Everyone who rides with me and doesn't know cars thinks that my car is broken. I prefer HKS or greddy sound to this, it's just a woosh of air.

Alright, enough whoring up this section for now...Well said. The RFL is more of a "fun toy" than anything useful.

If you really want a loud bov, ppl mentioned the RFL as the loudest. IMO any of them are fine, if you want it loud, just vent it and buy a kit so it doesnt mess anything up.
I am currently running a Type S recurculated, and it seems to work for me!
