1993 Grand Prix SE Rough Ride

I just purchased a 1993 pontiac Grand Prix used. My question is do all Grand Prix's ride as rough as mine. I live in the city, I fell the bumps so bad that my CD player skips, a mom and pop mechanic has told me that this years (93) Grand prix's ride rough because they are wider than other car's yadda yadda, I'm not buying that. also sometimes when I hit bumps my tires rub, however , when I push down on the corners of my car it doesn't bounce as if I need struts or shocks my car doesn't bounce on bumps. On the other hand my car does seem to sit a little lower than I think it should but I have not really had the chance to compare to other GP's. Any suggestions, I'm not really a car buff but I would like a great ride at a not to expensive cost.

Otherwise the car is in immaculate conditon on the inside, and the outside is good except for one nickel sized rust spot on the top corner of the trunk.

Thanks ahead of time signed loking for a smooth ride

If they are original, I would definatly change them.

I have a 92 GT and just did all four of mine - made a world of differance.

If you plan to do it yourself, check to see if the fronts are the cartridge type - there is a special tool required, but it is available from GM and some auto parts stores.
