Hello, I am looking into buying a dodge daytona (v6, internal water pump) and it currently has a broken water pump. I wanted to hear how it runs just to see if i can hear anything not normal. Will it hurt the motor anymore to have the car idle for a couple minutes with the water pump in the current condition?

just keep a very close eye on the temp gauge, if it doesn't have a temp guage or the temp gauge isn't working, turn it off after a minute.

Good advice, if the cooling system is full of coolant.
If the coolant has leaked out, just run the car for a few seconds.

Do not run it for more than a minute. Usually a water pump starts to leak, if thats the case, you can run it for a minute or two without concerns. If the water pumps bearings have frozen and its just stuck at at stand still? Run it for no longer than a minute tops. The coolant should ALWAYS be flowing around the head, after that heats up sufficiently the thermostat lets it run to the radiator. If theres no flow at all the coolant will heat up very rapidly and create hot spots. These will allow for over heating and further damage.
