eclipse - avenger....are they the same?

talons, lasers and eclipses share many things in common. how about dodge avengers? I ask this because a friend of mine bought this car just to sale it by parts because i believe for some reason it can't be drive legally in the US. Thanks .....

A Dodge Avenger has very little in common with Eclipses.. and I don't know why he would think you can't drive it in the US..

is not that he can't drive it legally because of the car, but is because of some legal paperwork BS. anyways He said that for instant someone bought the sunroof motor and installed in a talon.......Im supposed to go and check it out this saturday anyways...

i drove one the other day at work, and the insides of them are just like the 2g's, i dont know if the clipse on the back are the same or but the looked the same as my car.

the 4cyl Avenger has the same motor as the non turbo 95-99 Eclipse and Talons. The interior is identical and so is the drivetrain. The V-6 models have different tranny's and motors thats all. The interior is still the same.

For the record... Yes they can be driven legally in the US. My buddy has a nice one that he turboed. Fairly quick and also has some good looks.

I was just thinking about this yesterday when I saw a white Avenger (2 purple neons and 2 green neons :gay: ) last night and thought the 2gs looked similar. Seabrings (I think around the same years as the 2g) are the same way... They have the same doors inside and out, dash and most interior properties.

I need to steal one for some screws and panels. Thats crazy how similar they are.

They really aren't that similiar.. an ex-friend of mine has a red avenger.. The interior is based around the same concept but is much different.

What are you talking about? The door panals are the same... The dash and center consol is the same, along with the steering wheel and all the gauges. How do you find that different?

They're exactly the same? Or just look the same? I could've sworn they had a lot of differences.. it's been a while since I've been in one.

the only difference is the symboly in the middle of the steering wheel other than that they are the same

hell yea they are the same, even down to the peeling passenger air bag cover, lol. shocking.......hey, chrysler made the non-turbo engines right? so i guess it'd make since that they'd be similar in some ways. i think the exterior is totally different though.

when you look on the inside of avengers (inside the door, and under the hood) the stickers say made my Mitsubishi Motors, at least the one on the car lot i work at says that. yes all the inside peices are the same as a 2g, that was the first thing i noticed about it when i sat inside.
