Has anybody on this forum ever put Civic type R pistons in a GSR block without also changing the stock pistons? Do you think that's a bad idea? If so what would be my cheapest route to changing the rods?

I'm sorry, I meant changing the stock connecting rods, not the pistons, twice, duh. I'm a little bit tired.

You can use the stock B18C1 rods with the B16B pistons. But you will be landing in the 12.3-12.4:1 CR. Unless you have an wild set of cams your motor is going to be under cammed.

What kinda cams do you suggest I get? Type R?

Will there be any problem with me using pump gas (91-92 octane) with such high compression? Also which cams should I get?

I suggest ITR cams at the minimum and hondata or some other piggyback ECU setup. Then get it tuned, tuning is going to make or break a setup like that. Also 92 octane min.
