WTF? You think they all of the sudden started putting Bass in songs after 1997? Know your history, "bro". The 808, one of the first synthesizers used to make insane bass heavy drum loops, was in use as early as 1988.
Where I live, everybody and their brother (and cousin) bumps Eminem, Jay-Z , and the other lily ass MTV crap, so the only way to stand out is to play old school or underground rap.

I already mentioned the Swisha House. Slim Thug, Paul Wall, Flip, 50/50 Twin, etc, etc.
Mike Jones is cool, i like his album, but Chamillionaire still has sicker rapping skills than Jones does. But im also biased b/c i went to school with Paul and Chamillion and saw them at the beginning of their careers rapping at lunch.

haha thats awesome. paul wall is sick. mike jones' rhyming skills are lacking but its the catchy one-liners and the energy that make me like mike jones. i went to the same school as pookie (and jessica simpson) but they were a few years before my time.

I agree. His rhymes are pretty catchy. But I am starting to get tired of him continually saying "Mike Jones". My friend use to hang with Paul and runs into him here and there and says he's still nice as hell. Heard a song on 97.9 tonight with Chamillion, Paul and Flip called "True" i believe is what it was called. Not sure how new of a song it is, but it was pretty sweet. Slim Thugs albums gonna be hot. He's got Jay-Z, TI(he gives a shot out to ESG and Paul Wall in the song), Bun B and produced by Pharell and Neptunes. So you know its gonna be good.

oh yeah, i forgot some of the best songs cuz I was all excited to post those 2..
Kurupt - Who Ride With Us
Snoop - Gin n Juice
Ruff Ryders ft Juvenile - Down Bottom
look for "DJ WHOOKID ft 50 Cent & Sean Paul"... I forget the name of the song, but it may be called "they aint ready"... its bad ass, but it is only a minute and a half long.
Rick James - Mary Jane... oldies are the shit
Ive also got a bazillion songs I think are bad ass, but arent exactly mainstream, and definitely arent underground... not a whole lot of people are into that type of music, but to me, they are some of my best songs.

Drop it like its hot is getting old, but the beat is crazy. Candy shop and how we do is good, espically how we do. Ludacris, get back is good to get pumped up with. T.I.-Bring em out, really good. Trick daddy, lets go is good. And ying yang twinz, whats happening is kinda old but good none the less. And for some slower stuff, Bone thugz and harmony, thuggish ruggish bone. Its from 1994, but I love the song..
