JIC Group buy

since there are a few of you interested int he JIC coilovers, i'll start a group buy.
as long as i can get 15+ people (it can be a mixture of p10/p11) the JIC Type SF will be $1085 for the set. for those that are interested (seriously) let meknow and i'll update this thread and let everyone know on the progress of it.

What is the drop like with these and how comfortable is the ride with them? I thought the JIC coilovers were only good for a track setup and not a street setup?

You guys with your "how much drop!" Jeez. :rolleyes: They will let you go pretty low. Probably on par with some GC/AGX.

Luke got uprated springs on his kit and he mentioned that they were pretty stiff for the street. The standard springs should be pretty streetable.

.............need more people...................come on guys, i know you want 'em!

just like jason said, you can lower it pretty good...actually, i tried it out just for fun before i installed them and you can actually tuck your 17inch wheels pretty good but obviously you dont want to do that when you are driving around.
the ride is OK..not the suitable for everybody but Dan is enjoying it and I felt it was decent. Then again, I did get the stiffer springs...the standard JIC coilover comes with springs that a little softer. But it's still a pretty aggresive set up.

These are the sf's right? Would you be able to get SA's in this group buy? I know I dont need the adjustablilty, I'm just a sucker for extras, and if I have to get 'em sent across the atlantic, might as well do it with style. Bank manager keeps frowning at me every time I go in these days....

Look at those pictures! They are better than porno!!!

I bought Luke's car with the JIC kit, and I like it. It's definitely stiff, but the springs are progressive, so it's not too punishing unless you hit big bumps, or are travelling at high speed. And I have only experienced the stiff springs.

The setup is also deathly quiet compared to a GC/AGX combo. While we're talking, can anyone comment on the reliability/maintenance needs of this setup? Luke was nice enough to give me the instructions IN JAPANESE only (punk). Not that I'm expecting any problems with them, but I'd appreciate if any other owners could comment.

I'm waiting for Luke to email me back. I asked if we could reach the 15 number with setups other than P10, P11. We may be able to get some honda and subaru guys in on this..... its up to Luke.

Thats probably the only way we are actually going to get up to 15; i dont think there are enough P10/P11 owners who want this setup.

well put on your hat, it's time (and only time) to make friends with these guys....

but really, that a good alternative to get the 15 folks.....

brian, now that you're going for the jic, you got the impul kit, looking at the carbon fiber hood, and is going turbo conversion..... is there something on your car that you don't want? <---------ladies and gentlemen, best ride in the history of the g20 owner previlege!!!!!!
