This forum sure has been really dead lately. Is it just cause of the holidays or does everyone have a secret they aren't sharing with me?

no sideskirts, i'm more concerned with getting new tires, motor mounts, brakes, and suspension...then i'll worry about the beauty part...
just for clarification the 2000 fed specs have the 2 piston caliper setup right? swapping that be any problem? or should i find another junked sports car brake setup and go for those???
btw the CAI sounds ABSOLUTELY AWESOME and feels much better, my mom asked what it did, hmm better gas mileage and increasing the life of your car are bonuses too

if your asking me on the fed specs, I have no clue. I';m still learning about everything it seems like.
The CAI sounds like it rocks! I'm jealous :) My husband was asking me why I'd want to change anything and I was like oh well um you get better gas mileage...
I totally forgot about the motor mounts and pistons and everything else you still gotta do. That just sucks ass. Gotta love all them stupid drivers out there.

i love the sound of my intake too. i can get almost 100 more miles per tank with it. makes the Evo II sound even meaner

100 more miles a tank? Thats awesome! I didn't realize it helped gas mileage that much.

It all depends on how you drive it. Some days I can gt as much as 33 mpg in town, on other's I can get like 19 mpg. Just depends on how heavy your foot is.

there isnt, i was just being smart. i think they make a diesel 8 cyl for thier "Fuso" semi trucks. maybe not, but for sure turbo 6 and 4 cyl diesels.

oh yea- chicoloco- those are twin piston calipers, and should fit. i would get a big brake kit (AEM, EBC, etc..) to compliment them. worse thing you would have to do is "modify" the backing plate and add the mounting hardware. my friend with a 1G gsx is upgrading to a Rotora setup and we're gonna see if the front gsx calipers will fit my gst as soon as he gets 'em in. next week or so.
as for a setup from a wrecked car- find a 1g or 2g gsx or gst. hell, even new brand new calipers for the 1 or 2g should be fairly cheap. they should fit with little or no modification. i read a while back in import tuner or some other mag that TurboTrix racing built an evo 8 and scraped the stock brembo units for stock 2g gsx calipers. the reason was to fit smaller drag rims. so the gsx calipers must be pretty good.
good luck

I was asking a friend the other night about the CAI, cause he got a friend of his one for Christmas and his friend is getting him a blow off valve. And he said that it doesn't generally give that much better gas mileage. I dunno. I guess when I change mine I'll find out for myself.
And now I got a question. I did not want to start a thread on this since I don't want to start a fight like that mustang vs eclipse thread did. But that friend of mine getting the blow off valve. He has a dodge neon srt-4 and he paid about $25,000 for it. Someone mentioned that for cars under $30,000 nothing is as good as the eclipse or something. So I'm gonna take it whoever said that forgot about the srt-4?

The only reaseon it wasnt mentioned was because we were going for N/A just to prove how many cars are out there. If you wanted to include turbo's.... well we didnt want smart asses saying" no duhh a turbo is going to beat an eclipse!" The less we gave them to work with the less they could throw back stupid shit into our face. That all. Good point though FairyDust

SRTs are fast little cars.. and for under 30,000, if someone said the best was an Eclipse.. I guarantee it was about the 2g, not the 3g.

the arguement was for NA 4 or 6 cyl under $30000. the srt-4 was not mentioned b/c it doesnt not fall under this criteria.
