Ok, after my last car, (my first car) i now adore manual trans.
But the '92 RS i just picked up is an auto.
The little money i have is being spent replacing the tires, and the steering column. (it was broken into prior to me buying it, so i cant start it)
So my question is, if i get enough money, is it worth dropping in a manual transmission from.... say... a vette?
Or should i leave her the way she is?

:evillol: Well it would, but you have to keep in mind that u have to put in a clutch assembly, and cut a hole for a shifter, set up a peddle and stuff. But if u got the cash go for it. :smokin:

stay with the automatic, they win more races, more consitant.
Why spend well over 1k just so you can shift? Put that money towards making more power and you will be happier

yeah if you want to race and win, go with an auto.. Get a corvette 1-2 servo (about $30, probably install it yourself if your somewhat mechanically inclined) and maybe a trans-go or B&M shift kit ( $100 TOPS) and it'l make a HUGE difference.. shifts will be fast and Damn hard..
but if your really into manuals, and more into cruisin around, and if you have a fair amount of $$ and time, Go with the T56 swap.. you'l get a lot of help with it here on the forums
