New steering column problem

:icon16: I bought a 2002 Ford explorer and i was wandering if you could tell me if putting a steering column from a junkyard has to be electronically added to the explorers computer system? I put the new steering column and it just clicks. It has a new battery and all fuses are good. What are other methods to find the problem? thanks David :naughty:

Don't know on this one, did you ask the junkyard people if you could do that. They seem to be pretty informed on things
