How do people mount the amp like that? I'm looking into doing that with my install as well. Any tips or write ups with pics?

well, i haven't tried anything like that, but u gotta probably use up the wheel well

and use plexiglass ontop of an enclosure u made for the amp, which would be placed inside the wheel well

or whats what some people i know did

Sounds like what it is. Do they jsut build a box out of MDF for the amp as well and cut a hole in the flooring of the trunk for it? I don't mind removing the spare and shit.

How i did it was i made a template of the whole trunk floor out of cardboard, than i traced that onto wood, and cut it out this was i have a stirdy peice to do all the work on, than i cust out where i wanted the amp to be, i built a box to hold the amp, and to build depth i added lightweight foam ontop of the first set of wood, than add another peice of wood onjtop of the foam, than glue the carpet to the wood, it turned out very strong....heres a little illistration.

build a false floor like 3 inches or so up from the real bottom of the trunk.....put the amp and all the wiring under the false floor the put plexiglass over the amp.
