Static shock!

got a 96 burb that gives me a GOOD shock whenever i get out of the thing.
does anyone know how to fix this? or, does anyone know where to get static straps that hang down from under the truck? do they work?

Spray the carpet and seats with a mixture of 1 part Downey and 2 parts water. Or wipe the seats with a sheet of Bounce. Yea static cling. Yes straps work. Make your own with a worn out Poly Serpintine belt.

does rubber do better than metal? wouldn't a metal strap ground better?
