clunking in rear

i have a 2002 malibu and in the rear i hear a clunking noise when i go over bumbs on the road , i have brought it to the mechanic and he said it was the rear control arms , does anybody know how much are the rear control arms?

Go to another shop like car-x or such... very well could be rear shocks are bad, or just loose. If it is the control arms they will tell you and about how much it will cost BEFORE the repairs are done. Then you can decide and maybe even price shop around. Hope this helps...Later Mark.
