service engine light wont go off

My service engine light wont go off...I always would change my oil when it would come on....the last time it came on I change my oil and forgot or just didnt turn it off by hitting the reset button in the fuse panle next to driver...well I decided to do it and now it would go off...I hadnt had any problems ....no noise or bad gas milegage...any thoughts would really help..thanks

Take it to autozone and see if any codes are showing up. Also, what year is this?

I didn't know that pushing a reset button in your fuse box would reset your PCM. Are you sure that button isn't just to reset the fuses? FYI - In most newer cars, disconnecting your battery won't do it either.
Your car could be throwing codes just because it's got some other little sensor giving it a bad reading (such as the evap sensor - really common one that will go off after you've got gas cause it thinks your gas is evaporating too much). But like Lou said, take it to Autozone and get the codes read. It's free, and they'll reset the codes for ya.

Exactly. Write down the exact code they give you and bring it back here and if they can't tell you what the code number means we can. SES to change oil is not right.
