What can I do about a 4.3L Vortec that is smoking when i accelerate? Only 22000 Miles? is there any thing that can be done or do i need a new engine

I'd take it to the dealer PRONTO - still under warranty unless you fixed it till it was broke.. so to speak...

What color smoke? My buddy had a brand new truck that smoked since the day he had it. It had something to do with the tuning making run a little rich.
