Like a 2001-2002 Celica Gt, 5sp, stock, verse a 96 240sx SE. Who would win... Id choose the 240 but there is a kid wit the celica and hes pretty cocky about it, hopin i can show him hes not the only quick four around..

How is that even a question you could be auto and win, those things suck they run like 17s or something, correct me if im wrong, but either way there slow as balls. At least have some faith in your 240 Stock.

You will beat a GT, but not a GT-S.

you probably won't beat any of them, I think theres only a 5 hp differencee and the GTs puts out 190hp... they are pretty decent stock for a new front wheel drive car...

how bout this instead of asking us who we think would win go race his ass and find out

I say the celica because, in all honesty, the 240 isn't fast in the straight line stock. Sooooooooooo... Go prove me wrong.:thumbsup:

first off you should just race the fool and see who wins

you should have confidence in your car, the 240sx should win, if i remember correctly and i like to think i do the 240 has like 15 or so more horsepower, and like 35 or so more torque

and i mean if the kid is that cocky then beating him should shuttup him up, that's what would give me the most satisfaction anyways, rather than having people online saying ya you can beat him

honestly, i'd just go race him, own him and tell him to shut the fuck up. i wouldn't hide behind the reputation of my car and only THINK i could beat him, i'd just go blow his doors off. if he's just a kid then chances are he won't know how to drive very well.. with the jump you get off the line, you could probably take him in the end.. but then again, i hate trying to figure this shit out.. just GO RACE HIM

how can anyone judge who would win anything, theres so many factors the question is bogus is the first place shyt. I mean its lame to ask who would win if we kno nothign and we wouldnt be able to tell you who would evn if u elaberated on the situation. best thign for u to do is go out and race and find out, with out having to take up forum space, ty and good night :) no flaming intended!(factors include where and when, tire wear, driving ability, engine fuel and there millions more)

BTW driver error is not a factor, if it is then yeah, its a toss up. but i'm assuming its not and both of u know how to drive.

yah i left b/c im ashamed... lol im a newbie and i saw the 240sx vs 3000gt thread and thought it was ok and then i got lit up as soon as i put that one in... plus my router at home broke so i can only get on when i can skip class in school... but yah... sorry... thanks for makin me look real bad... ill be sure not to do it agian

celica GTs are slow as shit, i've driven one. 240 will eat it.

you'd beat either... I've raced both gt and gt-s and beat both by atleast a car length... HP is a very small factor. what really matters is the type of race, length and gear ratios. I don't know the final drive of the celica but an s14 is aorund 4.0. but just go race him quit being a pussy

i don't know about the gt-s.. they pull very well at the top of 2nd and 3rd, not to mention 4th and 5th.. i don't know if 6th would matter cause it would be over by then

i burnt my clutch... it was slipping when i got it and it went out all together yesterday... two days after i got it... once i get it bak in tho i will go race him... well see what happens

new clutch should grab good then.....might help you. So let me get this straight he has the lowest model celica but still thinks its fast as all hell???? hmmmm weird kid.

ka-t sometime... but im only 17 and my job cant cover anything like that right now... got to start saving for something like that... but maybe within year ill be able to bolt a turbo on it..just got to worry about parents and insurance...they are both gay

If its a stocker, or any clutch for that matter, you better break it in properly or you will hate yourself until it goes out again. You'll need to practice launching with the new one as well(after break in of course). If you spend your money wisely, you can get the money for a KA-T project. I know, I bought most of the stuff for my project when I was 17. The only thing I bought when I turned 18 was my clutch. Already had everything else sitting in my room waiting. Just learn how to use Ebay and how to save a little money. The great thing is you will only ever have to save about $600 at once. You can buy the stuff piece by peice. Once you get your first part, you will be more dedicated to getting the rest.

Stock final drive in the 240sx is 4.08.

what does that mean? 4.08?
