This has probibly been asked many time but ive searched for like 15 minutes and havent found the anwser. For people that have installed a rb25det into there 240sx (s13), how much did everything cost you. Just the price of the install, not including the motor and any aftermarket parts. Thanx

I did read the rb faq, it said 8 grand. That seems a little high though so i was wondering if how much it cost from people that have actualy had it done on there car. Logik you dont even own a 240 so why would you respond unless you where gona give me an anwser? You dont always have to be such a 16 year old immature loser who writes moronic responses to everyones questions on this forum.

8 grand sounds about right. there is a lot of fabircation that goes into putting it in. if you could do it yourself or knew some one who could help you then of course it would be a lot cheaper. it's a big pain to do. depending where you live i could get you the information of my brother's shop. my brother does rb and sr swaps. also, there is part on nico forums where they do a complete walk through with the rb25 swap. it is a very basic walkthrough, but may help you decide what to do.

it does talk about what fabrications and parts you need so i hope this is helpful.

$8000 is the estimated price for the parts and labour. now if you had any common sense at all, you'd look for the average price of an rb25 and subtract it from the $8000.. that would give you a ballpark.
what a novel idea. why didn't I think of that???

Wow, you know a little about me, I'm flattered. I only put in a stupid comment when someone (as yourself, in this instance) asks a question without doing shit. Just the motor mounts, downpipe and driveshaft are like 1300$, but I'm sure you already knew that. Then engine is a few thousand, let's say 5000 with shipping for arguments sake, thats 6300$ right there, but you'll need a few more things, it's good to get the GReddy intake manifold, a good intercooler, a new radiator, if your going to do the clutch and flywheel while the engine is out, you're up to 8000$, plus labour. But I'm sure you already knew all that.

You can get the mount kit from JGY Customs for 350. They just started carrying it. Also the drive shaft I had custom made for 200 dollars. McKinney has the downpipe for 250.
