ok... im lookin into it... i saw the dyno chart on the AEM page and im lost cuz i dunno how to read it... hahaha... anyways... how much HP gain am i lookin at if i install the pulleys??? is it sumthin i can do wid maybe me and friend on weekend??? i also saw that Unorthodox Racing also has a pulley kit... how does that compare to AEM??? what are the pros and cons of the pulleys???

expect to see 0.5-1.5 hp. it all depends on mod to get the most out of the pulleys. if you have a SOHC engine with light mods, don't even bother to put the pulleys on. its pointless to have it on. if you do plan on doing it, it's going to be a bitch. it will take a long time for you to do it. from what i heard, orthodox is better than AEM

for the slight power gain, it's not worth beating the shit out of your alternator. If you had a 350, it'd be a different story, but pulleys just dont do anything really beneficial on a Honda motor.

ahhh ic ic... yeah... thats not a big gain... so what should i look into after the I/H/E combo??? im basically plannin to go all motor for now... unless i happen to stumble on a large amount of cash... then ide go FI... hahaha... thanx for the info...

If your going all motor then save the money for the I/H/E combo and get your head ported and polished, a throttle body, and your intake manifold port matched. Then get your I/H/E. Bolt-ons need the polishing to see decent results. If you just get the I/H/E combo then you'll be wasting your money. But even if you do all that, you'll still be slow. :(

can u give me a ballpark figure on how much the port and polish, port matchin, and all that other good stuff will cost ??? i'll do sum more research on porting and polishing... but i dont really got the time at the moment... so ide like to get an idea on how much to save... also... where do i get a port and polish done???

i know i'll still be slow... hahaha... dun get me wrong... i love my civic... but i know shes slow as hell... but i'll be happy wid the bolt-ons... hahaha... even tho i'll be slow... i'll be faster than other civics out there... i dont think i can handle a turbo nor maintain one anywaiz and my car is a daily driver... im not goin all out racing... just added performance...
