If you have a hatchback 240, a rear strut bar makes some noticable difference. Cuts alot of body role going into a corner. Plus the polished bar looks good in the back of a hatchback.

Shit, I think I'm going to check out ebay. That's the shiznit. I don't want to tell how much I paid for the ones on my Civic, but I guess it's worth it if ur racing.

I dont know what difference strut/tie bars make on 240's but in the honda world theyre more like nobb/ricer bars or like gt mention, just for show. a bigger rear sway bar or simply taking off the front one (i'm assuming there is one) helps the car turn easier. that may be true only for fwd cars since we get lots of understeer from factory though. either way taking the front sway on a rwd help with traction, correct?

I got that same one on the maxima for $25. on my 240 I bought some beefy tanabe strutbars, costed me $210 shipped for a front and rear one. Not sure how much of a diff it made b/c I installed coilovers at the same time, so of course i'm going to feel a big diff

Well I can tell you right now they do help on a Civic. I have them, and I do race. The difference is quite noticable. But I also have the Skunk 2 bars, which are considered to be pretty good. I have a 4-door Civic, so that might be why they seemed to make such a big difference.

the thing that sucks about bars is that, unless you have raced the same couse under the same conditions with the only variable being the strut bars, you have no way of measuring other than the old butt g-meter.

Well it deffinatly feels more stable.

lets just put it this way lol
it can't hurt it and its only adding more rigidity to the chassis at a high stress point, take that as you will

Not Triangulated + Jointed Ends = Not worth more than 20 Bucks
Its not really doing anything. but Hell. Even I would add some bling for 8 bucks... or would I? :sly:

since it did nothing for performance ;)
j/k
and yes 3-point bars are the shiz, but whats even better/worthwile, imo, is a 6-point cage. doesnt get better

no not really you can just tell if your car rolls or handles better...alittle diffrent situation but...kinda like running 7psi then going to 12psi on your turbo...u'll def notice the diff...specially if you do drift or autox your car

Bling Test
1) Place in coffee can
2) Drive Nails in to the coffee can to create "teeth" (like that one monster from star wars in the desert)
3) Epoxy to ground in poor Neighborhood
4) > 5 People Try to retreive = Bling*
< 5 People Try to retreive = Not Bling*
Trend Test
1) Repeat above test in rich neighborhood
*Crackheads dont count because they're well... crackheads.

strut bars? yea i got them in the front and rear of my fastback... the responce is quicker since there is slightly less body roll on high speed corners. You'll definitely feel it if you've done autoX... the left-to-right and right-to-left repetitive corners feel much better. You don't get too much lag from the previous corner when you're trying to turn into the next one immediately after.
i'd say it's really worth the 20 bucks i spent on it. haha (ebay)
