Just bought a 99 explorer and it didn't come with any remotes, just keys, dealer wants 90 each for them...ouch! Does anyone know how to program them? I just can't see spending that much at the dealer when I can get them from ebay for 25! Thanks!

If you are talking about the keyless remote openers for the doors i beleive you can just buy a generic opener and then turn the key into the "on" position 5 or 7 times in a row. the turn signal lights will flash when you do this and then press either the lock or unlock button on your remote. this will program the opener. i can't remember the exact number of times you have to turn the key. i did this once in my 96 explorer when we bought it used years ago.

if i remember right because i did this too you turn the key switch on and off like 10 times the door locks will lock then unlock again to let you know the programing is going to start then you take the key fobs and press the lock button untill the door locks lock and unlock again lt is to let you know they fobs are programed. you have 10 seconds to do this and all the key fobs must be programed at the same time. there is ome web sights that you can go to and buy replacement fobs and this should be in you ownwers manual .
