Hey guys. I got a question for you. a buddy of mine has a 2000 Honda Civic EX with a Si Motor in it. the recently had an issue whis his shocks and some other suspintion parts. He asked me to get online for him and see if anyone knew if he could put the S2000 suspintion inplace of going aftermarket for the civic stuff.

Any replys would be appricated.

I had the same problems after my b16 swap. The CX, DX, LX, HX, and EX suspension is all the same because it has to hold up a light sohc engine. The Si suspension is stiffer to hold up a heavier dohc motor. I ordered a pair of front Si suspension from a junkyard for $100 shipped and they fixed my problem.

Check www.car-part.com and punch in the part you're looking for, and it will give you a list of local yards with prices, websites, and phone numbers.

Yeah, I mean the B16 weighs a whole 30lbs more than a D16 :grinno:

Seriously though.... good suspension should be the FIRST modification to your car... not a more heafty engine

I know but Honda still made two different suspensions for them.

Yes... the Si rides a little bit lower and a little bit stiffer than a stock EX... but if the EX suspension is so worn out that you notice a 30lb change on the front end, you should have upgraded your suspension first to begin with.

The suspension was fine, it was only on the car for 3 years. When I dropped my B16 in, that's when I started getting camber wear on the inside of my tires so I switched.
