i don't know if any one is intrested i was looking through some old posts when i found the subject of turbo'd ts. 1.6 ..i live in greece i didn't know these cars weren't avialable outside of greece. i have as 2004 impreza 1.6 ts turbo (180)bhp this conversion is done by subaru greece with parts supplied by subaru and with there full acceptance and knowledge .the engine and chassis warranty is still fully valid and not affected in anyway.. the mod is done to these cars i am told because of tax by the government on larger engines as well as the engine mod the brakes are also uprated to deal with the increased power as the normally aspirtated ts 1.6 only has rear drum brakes. the turbo conversion has discs.some of you may laugh at 180 bhp but where i live on a small greek island only 50 miles long we just don't have the roads to use the kind of power in the wrx and sti cars .and 180 bhp in a subaru chassis can still be a lot of fun !!! hope this is of intrest to a few people

Sure! I knew about the 1.6L before, but how much power/torque does it make stock?

the stock figures are 95 hp/5200rpm and 14.6kgm/3600rpm and after
the conversion the figures are 180bhp/5050rpm and 26.7kgm/4060rpm
also this is no half a days bolt on conversion it looks as though the car left the factory like it..it is a very nice job.

I also would love to see pictures. I'm always interested to see what my car is like in other countries. I have an '04 WRX, and this turboed 1.6 sounds like the Greek equivalent. Horsepower is fun, even on a tiny island.

I'd also really like to see pics. Anyone think there's any chance I could retro-fit any of this turbo clobber to my UK MY95 1.6GL? :)
