Oil in Coolant

Has anyone had this problem. - Oil in coolant. I disconnected the tranny lines and installed cooler to see if it was tranny oil but I am still getting about 1-2 tablespoons of oil per 600 miles in my coolant resevoir. Not getting coolant in Oil.

I think it might be head gasket but it runs ok and I didn't want to dig in till I was sure. Does have a intermittant miss when cold but seems to do better after it runs awhile.

This mis-fire when cold is indicitive of a head gasket leaking a slight amount of coolant into the combustion chambers when cold. After everthing heats up and expands the leak may cease and mis-fire is no longer present. As for the oil getting into the coolant, you didn't say specifically which year model and engine you are working on, but generically speaking, yes a leaking head gasket can cause oil return from the head to get into the coolant. If it was mine, I would replace the head gaskets.
