Oh dear god where do i begin!
Ok... so far we have tried the ignition module (donated from another R32 GTS-t) seems to be fine... we took the donor module and put it on my car and no change was made... car still misfiring! :( We also took my ignition module and put it on the donor car and the car ran fine!
We also changed the coil pack on cylinder 1 & 6... (problem has shifted from cylinder 1 to cylinder 6) we had all the coils tested and they came back fine...
Also.. injector 1 was shagged... so we pulled all 6 out... and i bought another 3 (second hand) and took them ALL to Autech Diesel and Turbo where they have serviced them all and sent them back to us... BUT the problem has shifted from cylinder one to cylinder 6 :( So my guess is that they gave us back the shagged injector.
Also my Trust Exhaust system came with a Trust HighFlow Cat.. but the cat light comes on under heavy loads or long driving... is it the cat thats shagged? Or is it meaning something else... Has anyone heard of the car going into a safety mode when the cat is munted?
Someone please help!! :(( IM GOING INSANE!!!
Cheers,
JP

Thank god someone else is having the same problem...what a bastard! Fitted Blitz Dual SBC, started missing badly..... replaced the standard Bosch plugs with NGK Platinums... problem solved. First noticed the car missing 1-2 years ago, once every couple of months.
Then one day I cranked the boost and cooked the head, 6 valves and $1100 dollars later (did the work myself) back on the road. Not sure what the problem was, had heard every bastard cranks to 1.1bar anyway.
Still missing every now and then. Mechanic tested: Coils fine, injectors fine, ignition amplifier fine.. thought it might be the fuel pump, tested it, seemed fine (2.5l/min @35psi) but replaced it with GTR pump anyway (4.6l/min @35psi definately not running out of fuel).
Going mad, missing getting worse (when loaded up at high-standard boost). Have already replaced A/F meter, oxygen sensor, std air filter and fuel filter so won't be any of these.....
Anyway, to cut a hellisly long story shorter, when i recond the head, I replaced the NGK Platinums with dirty old standard plugs...... will put platinums back in soon ($$$), Hope some of this helps, I'll keep you posted.

As far as the cat goes. Does the lil Hot Muffler light come on the dash? I had that problem along with the engine just cutting out. I took it in and the mech just undid the line tha goes to the sensor underneath the passenfer seat. May not be the same as what you are facing though.

had a similar problem, misfiring under load. drove me nuts. turned out to to be carbon build up where the spring seats in the coil packs which stopped the spark getting through to the plugs .
carefully pull the spring out of each coil pack and clean inside with fine sand paper rolled up. be sure to put the springs back in properly so there jammed right in .
its worth a try......

poor guy, probley had to sell his car cause no one helped him in time lol
even worse.
The car hit a patch of oil on the motorway and was sent spinning into other traffic. TWUBLE is currently in the middle of a complete rebuild.
As long as someone comes up with answers then I have no issues with old maintainance threads being brought back up.
