I was delivering pizza one time, and I had my big PIZZA HUT car topper on top, I was doing 55 on the highway, and the asshole cop pulled me over. HE PULLED OVER THE PIZZA GUY!! I mean seriously!! who DOESNT do 55 on the highway? The limit was only 40, but still its a highway! anyways, he writes me up the ticket (for 112$ mind you) then he tells me that since I didnt have my proof of insurance with me, that if he was a prick he would make me leave the car there and walk... WHAT A FUCKING PRICK, trying to make me feel lucky.. fucking asshole!! I wanted to get out of my car and beat him with his night stick. HE PULLED OVER THE PIZZA GUY!! Sure he was just doing his job, but I WAS TOO! Im sure when HE orders pizza he doesnt want it to be cold! I make my money by getting people their pizza on time, how are you gonna pull me over for that? And anyways when youve got a 40 MPH highway you can find speeders all day long... what kind of asshole pulls over the pizza guy for doing 55 on the highway????.. and besides that, Im required to have insurance in order to keep my job, so NO SHIT I had insurance... what a fucker..

You should have given him some pizza and mountain dew, would have probably only been a warning then.

I understand you are pissed, but please watch the language and keep it pg13. Secondly, you not having your insurance card is your own fault...by law, he should have made you leave the vehicle...and he could have impounded it.
You might think this is unfair...but wait until that one day when some 16 year old just gets his license and slams into your prized mid-life crisis car from behind...you'll be VERY glad the cops make you have insurance and be able to prove it!
Just because you are a pizza guy doesn't make you immune...EVERYONE has jobs...EVERYONE speeds to get to them...you got nabbed. Take it to court, get it reduced or dismissed...I know you are just venting...but it happens to everyone. Good luck.

Hey man I'm a pizza guy too, just not for Pizza Hut. I find that aslong as you have a good reason why it took you so long to get there you should still get a tip. Heck I had a night were all the orders were about an hour and a half late and I still got like 3 dollar tips. Plus the roads were crap, but still an hour and a half. But my only thing to say is if you don't want to get pulled over don't speed man.

man, alright, whatever... yall dont understand. Its the only highway on that side of Maui. The fastest legal speed to travel is 40 mph. The average speed on that highway was probably about 55 mph, with the faster people usually doing about 70 or so. If all of society drives 55, and a good percentage of them are doing 70, then of all people to pick on, why pull over the pizza guy? I mean, its not like I had ever been pulled over before in my life. All my friends had these crazy stories where they just got a warning, even though they were drunk and high, and had weed in their pocket, but when the pizza guy goes 55 mph on the highway, you cant just let it slide ONE TIME? I mean... it obviously scared the hell out of me when I noticed him on the side of the road, couldnt he have given me a chance? Its not like he couldnt catch me another time if I didnt learn my lesson. It was a very small town. about 8 miles long, by 1/2 mile wide, with one major road, and I was a full time driver. Its messed up that he couldnt just give me a scare, and wait to see if I learned my lesson. It was the first time I had ever been pulled over. How would you feel? It wasnt cool. especially that he tried to make me feel lucky. Plus if my job ever found out I got a ticket, I would have been fired. I know thats my responsibility, but the point is that everybody deserves a break sometimes. Maybe I got a little caught up in my job and forgot about my responsibility to go the speed limit even though my money relies on me getting as many pizzas to as many people as possible during my shift. Of all the best times to give somebody a warning, I think that would have been a great time for it. He had no mercy and called me lucky. Not cool.

I've almost have been pulled over for the fact my truck is a sh*t box on wheels. Where I work currently, almost everyone I work with have gotten speeding tickets and the boss knows... But it still sucks

a cop is not obligated to let it slide, you just had bad luck, if you feel that it was unjust, then DON'T SPEED. If everyone is doing 40 over the speed limit, the cop can pull over any one he feels. These 'stories' that your friends tell you I garuntee are exagerated. If you're stoned and drunk, a cop WILL be able to tell. I've been pulled over for 11 over doing the EXACT same speed as the rest of traffic and I was in a Ford conversion van. Hes not obligated to give you a warning, usually warnings are reserved for when he sees you speeding but can't nag you on the radar gun.

I'm still lucky the one day I was driving by cop and his head turned as I went by, because my truck is realy fricken loud. Lucky me one of my co-workers drove by and had his green neons on..... He only got off with a warning though.... Lucky him... I drove past him and waved to him as I passed, he waved back... It had to be one of the funnyest things I have ever seen.... While besides my redneck truck with the two ard chairs in the back.... See photo below if it comes up....

Okay, before you mentioned where you live I was thinking what highway on earth has a 40 mph speed limit!?!?
Bumber about the ticket though, does sound like a bit much (most have been end of the month or something...). You've got my appreciation pizza dude. I knew a guy from University who would always be the last one to leave the bar - everyone else would split cabs and head back to the house, but this guy always had to stay and finish all the drinks. How he would get home is he'd order a pizza to be delivered from the pizza shop next to the bars, wait for the pizza delivery dude to come out and then he'd hop over the patio drink in hand and hitch a ride with the delivery dude to the house lol. They've got the coolest pizza delivery dudes on Hamilton.

I got pulled over once 'on the job' but I was returning from a delivery with an empty bag. We didn't have any kind of sign or marker, so the cop didn't know I was a delivery driver. When he came to my window, he saw the bag, asked me if I was delivering a pizza, and let me off with a warning. Said 'if I ordered that pizza, no damn way would I want it cold because the driver got pulled over'. Good guy.

I got pulled over in my old '66 Chevy truck because he said it wasn't safe for highway use. I wonder if it was because he could see into the cab from the bottom of the door or because he could see the carpet hanging out from under the floor board?

We don't have car top signs, and I refuse to use them, I got RBT'd on the job once (Random Breath Test). I also went past a cop doing 75 in a 50 zone, that's an imediate loss of licence. I pulled down this long, wide quiet street, and I fooking PLANTED IT. I had my lights on High beam (was about 9:30pm a few weeks ago too) and I saw a car with it's parkers on, so I stoped accelerating, got closer...closer...closer, SHITE!! Copers! I slammed the breaks on, and my breaks squeek a lot!! They gave me the biggest dirty stare, they were out of the car at the time, so they didn't have radar on. But I was doing about 75.
Cops scare the shit out of me. To night, pizza's were almost an hour late, so I was speeding everywhere, and I slowed down when I past EVERY car cause I was scared it was a cop. Man I Get paranoid sometimes....
