ahhh!!! need help

hey i need some serious help i bought a speed sensor yester day for my car...so today i went to install it...go to find out that it is a hair rounder than the stock on in my sr tranny...what gives? the part # i have is 25010-36F00..did i get the wrong part...ahhhhhhh...pisses me off..becuase its literally a hair bigger...

is there any way you could make it smaller? i have no idea still what exactly the speedsensor is or does...where does it install?

in the tail shaft of the tranny...it has a gear on the end of the sensor that spins tells the ecu how fast your going...registers it to your speedometer...and i was thining about grinding it down...but it would leak then...i dont need that B.S.

did you just buy another stock one? or is it some special one? i dont see why it wouldnt fit if it was the stock kind, im gonna go look around and ill let you know if i see anything...and i finally found out what the speedsenser was when i was looking at a rb20 tranny...

yea thanks man..and yea i bought the 90-93 sensor...dont know man...pissin me off

is it the govener thing? is so HKS has a kit to disconect that.

Are you trying to put the KA sensor on the SR tranny? Maybe that's your problem.

this is why i'm glad that i didn't go SR. well your gonna have to go to www.freshalloy.com and see what they will fit.

no supposedly the 91-93 ka speed sensor should fit...i looked on fresh alloy and they say the part that i ordered is the right one...so i dont know...maybe the 89-90 sensor got stuck in the box...a friend of mine who just rolled his 180sx is going to take his out of his tranny and give it to me this weekend...(what a nice guy) we'll se how that goes down i guess
