No offence at all but I agree. On your tire is the sizes that you need.

And for touch up paint, i need to do the same thing with my rear bumper. I am waiting until I go to get a custom paint job, and even worry about touching it up. Although if i did buy a body kit.. I wouldnt need touch up paint in the rear.

doesn't ur insurance cover the paint as a hit and run accident or do u have to pay like a huge deductible and so it won't be worth it??

No, those tires will be waaaaay too small. You need at least 245/45's if your going with 17's. You dont want to go with too narrow a tire. If you decide on say 225's(way too narrow in my opinion) then you would need 225/50/17.

Ok lets try this again, for the slow people. I HAVE NOT BOUGHT THE TIRES YET(so i cant look at them)SO I AM ASKING IF 225/40/17 TIRES WILL BE OK ON MY CAR. DOES EVERYONE UNDERSTAND NOW??????

what size wheels did you buy, as in width??? you cant put too big of a tire on too narrow of a wheel...for example: i had 9.5" wide wheels on my 300zx and i could ahve gone with a 265mm-275mm tire.

about touch up paint. go to the nearest mitsubishi dealer...they sell touch up paint for your specific color, might cost a little more but it will match up better than that shit that auto-zone sells.

235 is pretty thick for a 7" wheel...see how it says the stock wheels are 16"x8" and thats a 225mm tire...so 225mm's are probably as thick as your gonna get on there (if not too big) but thats just guessing from a little reasoning, you will need to talk to a shop that puts tires on wheels to see how wide of a tire you can get to go on your wheel. you might also want to look into getting some spacers for those wheels unless you get a very mean offset...

Size 16 x 7.0 | +42 offset / 5 holes / 5x114.3
will these wheels fit on my car

yeah they should fit, i just dont know if they are gonna stick out far enough to look right. but a +42 offset is a pretty big offset so it might work out ok...

as for tires, i dont think your gonna get bigger than 215mm wide's on those wheels, but i could be wrong.

im thinkin this is the size tire your gonna need.... 215/45/17

OMG, both of you, just grow up or shut up. Seriously.

As for your wheels, 225s would probably be too narrow. They might work but if you're buying new ones you might as well get the best ones you can. My stock wheels were 15x6.5 (I think; maybe 15x6, one or the other... damn base model  ) and the rims I got were 17x7.5. I got 245/45/17 Kumho ASXs and they look great. You'd probably be ok with 235s too. If you want my opinion, find out what yours are now and go atleast one step up in size. Like I said, might as well make an improvment over stock.

ahh...there ya go, you can fit some good sized meat on those wheels.

235/40/17 is too short. Like I said in my post you need at least 50 series if you go with 235's. So 235/50/17 would be the size you would need. We arent driving Honda's here. Are cars are alot bigger than them.;)
