k well my 2004 focus which has not options in its had it first major problem it started with when i filled up on gas the needle wouldnt go up. it took like 6 hrs for it to get up to full so i though it was only a one time thing so like 5 days later i filled up again and it did the same thing so i droped it off yesterday and i called them up today to see if they had a chance to look at it and he said yes they are going to replace the fuel pump as i said first major problem.

Hmm...I know that the Focus had a fuel pump recall issue about a year ago, where the gears on the pump were wearing down prematurely, and then just stopped working. Ford recalled them, but I don't think that the recall extended to cars that new...I also can't for the life of me figure out how the fuel pump would cause the gauge to be f'ed up. I would think that it would be the sending unit. Anyone care to enlighten me?

My '01 I just purchased 3 1/2 months ago has the same gauge problem. At first, the gauge wouldnt go up the whole way when filled up. Recently, it's been higher than when I first purchased it but not as high as I think it should be.
