air sensor on stock air box??

i have a P10 i just order a k&n filter i went to look at teh stock box and it seems to have a wire harness that goes to it. what is that? is that a senor. when i remove the box do i still need that wire harness hooked up? can i just take out the box and remove the harness put on the new filter and eveything will be fine

If you just bought a drop in filter for your OEM air box, you need o do nothing.

If you ordered a K&N hi-flo cone intake, and it does not already have the sensor hole in it, go here to see what I did to modify mine.

This is a $tillen/K&N intake I purchased back in 1995-ish for a '91 NX2000. I sold that car and put the intake on my '96 G20 with sensor.

If you ordered it from Stillen or JWT, and specified the year, make, and model, the hole should already be there.

ok thanx, yeah i got that same filter. how much did u pay for it just curious. can u notice a differance?

I do not remember how much it was back in 1995, but I did put a new K&N on it when I installed it on the G20 and the filter alone was around $60 I think.
