Will 16" rims fit on a Jetta GLI 1.8T

I was just wondering if itís possible to put 16Ē rims, ďfor the winterĒ, on a 2004 Jetta GLI 1.8T. The stocks r 18 obviously but I was just wondering if the calipers were too big to fit 16 inch rims on. Iím going with 16s cuz itís the winter and I donít wonna fuck the stocks up. I already found a good deal on rims and tiyers but the problem is that itís online so if thiey donít fit than Iím screwed.

Well actually itís not my car itís my buddies. So look at that paragraph as he was writing it. lol And I did try to convince him not to drive that car in the snow but he wonít listen. So he might as well get some snow tiyers cuz driven in the snow with racing tiyers could be a bitch, no it is a bitch he already found that out. So before he gets into an accident, can 16Ē rims fit on a 2004 Jetta GLI 1.8T.
