i just picked up the new Tupac cd released today, his 9th posthumous release. if you haven't heard, it's called "Loyalty to the Game", it's produced by Eminem and i gotta say it's pretty damn good. i'd never heard a few of the songs that are on there and i am an avid tupac listener. So if you're worried that this is just another remix cd or greatest hits compilation, it's not. most of it's new shit and it's good. some of the music sounds like it may have been from early in his career but it's good, even if you don't like old skool. best of all, it only cost me $10 at Media Play.

You do know that Tupac had hours of pre-recorded lyrics and producers are just sampling them with their own beats to release "new" cd's. Obviously it's unereleased but it's never "new" stuff.

i have 3 of the makaveli albums with his unreleased music and some of the songs from the albums Better Dayz, Until The End Of Time, and other artists collaborations like ja rules "so much pain" were from those cd's.
if you like tupac you have to have dj green lanterns Tupac: Rap Phenomenon mix tape. it's the best Pac cd ever.
you can listen to the first 4 songs of it on Green Lanterns web page
http://www.djgreenlantern.com/site/broadband.html
-click on "store" and click on the the third cd in the bottom row.

told ya, best pac cd ever. that shit won't leave your cd player for months once you get it. a lot of those songs gave me the chills when i first heard them. it's good cuz it's a long cd(30 tracks), has a lot of guest vocals, and everyone rapping on it is giving their best lyrics cuz they're trying to keep up with tupac.
If you like the Tupac: Rap Phenomenon cd, there's a Biggie one too that's almost as good(you may even think it's better, depending on your tastes).

yeah, that's cuz Green Lantern wasn't in on the Biggie one. i got mine from this place http://www.mixunit.com/djvldihaph.html, which is a great page for mix tapes. they're all real cheap and they only charge $1 for shipping.

by "new", you mean "almost 10 years old, but never heard from the public until now, rendering it "new"", then yes.
I like some of tupac's shit, and I think it's awesome to know someone who died 9 years ago had enough matieral to last him after his death.
Top shit.

^ well even if you take old lyrics and put it to a new rythm, you've still created something new.

did anyone else catch the end of the song "loyal to the game" where tupac's voice goes "G-unit in this motherfucker... Banks...Buck"? kinda wierd since pac died about 4 years before g-unit came out. or number 12 with obie trice where tupac's voice comes in and goes "big ballin' ass nigga named Trice" shit is creepy.

He also makes a statement that goes something like "I had one gun in 99 and 2 in 2000"

I have to agree, what the hell is up with all the obie, g-unit shouts he says. Either some crazy splicing by eminem or :eek7:

yeah and on number 3 tupac's talking about making bail and right before the beat starts tupac goes "drop that shit Em". the verse "i packed the 9 last year, in 99 i'm packin 2 now" but he died in 96.
the g-unit shouts, i find it hard to believe that someone could splice that without it being noticable. i mean, g-unit doesn't mean anything other than the band name, so why would he have ever said it, especilly on a track in a studio. and if you turn the volume up ant the end of #6 he actually says "Banks" "Buck". shit, youngbuck wasn't even in g-unit til '04. the only thing i could thing of to explain it would be some kind of voice manipulation, but even the accent is dead on and recognizable as tupac. it's some wierd shit.

Not into rap, but 2pac will never die in my heart. I do find all that shit creepy though about the g-unit and all. I assume em did some good splicing... but it makes ya wonder. I haven't gotten the cd yet though, next on my list.
