hey guys/gals,
i just picked up a B18A1 for my 91 hatch for real cheap
i want to go ahead and rebuild this engine to be daily driven with 8psi of boost
now i need some comments on what i should replace and what should be done to the block and head
i know most of the shit i just want to hear some opinions because im on a tight budget and only want to do what is needed
as well how can i tell what year the engine was made?
thanks

b18a1 would be 90-93 integra, 90-91 was 130hp and 92-93 was 140hp.
replease all seals, bearings, 8psi you can get away with on stock pistons but if its in your budget I'd go ahead and get new forged ones because your going to be tempted to turn up the boost at some point. Have it honed and have the crank jernals align bored. replace the valve seals, If you have the money get a three angle valve job. Have the head ported/polished if you have the money.

on top of that i would opt for the block guard now as well while the motor is apart and at least low comp pistons and forged rods. becuase like he said, despite only 8psi, you will wanna boost more eventually and the extra money you put down now, will only save you time and money later.
