Try http://dsmtuners.com/tuning-guide/1gturbo/ for the tuning guide. Great site!

That looks expensive...but if you've got a deal, go for it. Brand names are unnecessary, but will help in reselling the car, if yo ever choose to do it.
You won't be making much more than 250-260 hp with those mods on the stock turbo, but those will provide a good basis for a bigger turbo in the near future, with some fuel mods.

What would you recomend then? If these are "brand names" what comanies are just as good but are cheaper then? The shop will get the part for way cheaper JUST because it is a shop. I still plan on that boost controller no matter what though.
I have already gone to the tuning guide at DSM tuners it gave no recomendations that were real just a list of parts. Which actually we got most of them from - we just happen to trust apexi and greddy. That and we don't want this to sound like a screaming whining 4cyl so we don't give off the impression as a ricer to our muscle car friends.
------------
Also I forgot to mention that we are going to port the stock turbo, and we are going to also run as much boost safely I have been told safe max boost is 14 1/2 or so. We are not looking for some massively fast thing here just to pull about a 12.5 1/4 mile and decent in ice racing. And mostly of all things stoplight to stop light. I've got a buddy with a 71' cutlass that he trying to take into the 11.4s that is the real beast that we are all working on. We all sort of help each other in our small comunity when it comes to cars at least.

You won't be running 12s with that mod list yet. If I were you, I would ditch the $900+ exhaust, and get a muffler shop to mandrel bend you a custom exhaust ($300) from the turbo back. Make sure the bends are not crush or pressbent, because they will narrow and impede exhaust flow.
Right there you save $600+. That will easily pay for whatever injectors you want, and a fuel pump. You might even have some money left over for a $200 fmic core and $80 in piping for a fmic setup.
So, you figure, all of that stuff you mentioned earlier (if you're set on the e-01, so be it), minus the exhaust, with a custom exhaust instead, some 660cc injectors and a walboro 190 or 255 lph pump, and you should be able to dial up the boost to 19+ psi, more on race gas. That's where your 12 second time slip comes in ;)
>>Edit: Oh yea, the point of me quoting you was to remind you that turbo DSMs will not sound ricey, no matter what you try to do to them :) I have probably the riciest muffler ever designed on my car right now, and it stil sounds mean.

I just don't want it to sound like a weed wacker- you know a honda or toyota or something. Now I know the 3000GTs don't. So I guess that makes sence other than it is a 6 not a 4.
So new list:
1. muffler shop to mandrel bend you a custom exhaust ($300) from the turbo back. Make sure the bends are not crush or pressbent, because they will narrow and impede exhaust flow.
(300)
2.$200 fmic core with the $80 in piping for a fmic setup (what company should I get this from by the way?)
(280)
3. e-01
$689.00
4. 660cc injectors (where should I buy these as well?)
5.walboro 190 or 255 lph pump (again where...)
6.Manufacturer: GReddy
Product: Electronic Guages
MSRP: $150.00
7.Manufacturer: Spec
(BTW this is a clutch i DON'T WANT to run into that problem again)
Product: Stage 3 Kit
MSRP: $359.00
8.Manufacturer: Apex'i
Product: Power Intake
MSRP: $79.00
-------------Its now going to run about...$1,857
Am I missing something or adding something I don't need? Also what about suspension? BTW his is going to be flat black not that it matter just thought to mention it.

the exhaust is a good idea, buschur racing, vrs racing and rnr racing all make cheap, high quality turbo back exhaust. youll probably hit 14 psi with just the mods you have listed; a guy i know has a talon tsi and it buries the 14 psi turbo gauge with just a kn filter, downpipe and muffler tip. my laser hits 13 with just a kn filter, before i put that on it hit 12. to get the car in the low 13, high 12s, follow this dsm upgrade sequence: http://www.buschurracing.com/stage_1.html

Skip the Spec clutch (I can link you to horror stories if my local board hasn't purged in a while), and the E-01. Get an ACT 2100, some manual boost controller (if you are in it for the bling, you'll hate this reccommmendation), and a datalogger.
I would look for a cheaper exhaust as well. 3in piping is all the same, so no need to pay big ticket prices.
Joe hit the nail on the head IMO. Fuel pump is a MUST.
That being said, before doing any of this, make sure all scheduled service has been completed.

and a datalogger.
Important key component that I forgot. I've heard rumors about the ability to use the e-o1 as a logger, but you should just spend the extra $50 on a decent palm PDA that will work, $10-15 on an ebay cable for a 1g, and then download the Tunerstein logging software. Or, since money doesn't seem to be an issue, go here:
www.digitaltuning.com
and buy the 1g Pocketlogger package. You will also need a Palm PDA to run it on.
With regard to the fmic, get a nice big Ebay core. That should cost you $200-240 shipped. Then all you need is a few mandrel bends and some couplers, and your total cost shouldn't exceed $350. A much better expenditure of that money than throwing it at an expensive pipe (brandname exhaust ;)).

As for the Exahaust I think I'll do what Joe said to do bring it to a standard shop for 3 inchers all the way back.
Now for the boost controller. I could get the profec B instead- I know it was a very good devise. I'm not in it for the "bling" I just HATE manual boost controllers I have delt with them before to me they suck rocks. To those of you who have one I do not envy you.
For the data loger I think I'll do the downloadable version. If I don't need to spend money or I could spend less I will. Well to a certain extent I am willing to dish out on a clutch and a boost controller.
Hey did I mention that I am not going to do any weight reductions to the car? Is this going to suck for me? Also I assume I am not going to need a "wing" either- correct?
Almost forgot this but - joe what is your comment on the weed wacker coment of mine?
BTW thanks for all the help so far this has been just great help.

You really don't need a "wing".
As for "they suck rocks", please explain or refrain from making false blanket statements. I have used the same MBC since 1999 and have no spike issues and boost is rock solid. Cost: 50 bucks back then.

I'm not going to argue this much more, but you shouldn't have to continually adjust boost. If so, the Hallman EVO is cockpit adjustable and around or under 150.
Your car will not sound like a weed whacker as long as it is turbo. I've had the riceyest possible muffler on my car with a stock exhaust and it still growled. My 3in with a Bullet muffler sets off car alarms like it was the thing to do.

So you think i should get a hallman Evo boost controller???
Also I almost for got this what about a feul controller what one should i get? Does this not help daily MPG or am I mistaken? If not what does puting it in 5th at low rpm or just turning the boost all the way down or is it all of this?

In the end, get what makes you happy, I am just adding "budget minded" solutions. With what you save from a Profec (though they are cool), you can buy another mod.
Post a full list of what your plans are after our suggestions (no need for the MSRP or descriptions) and we'll chime back in. There is too much for me to pick back through to come up with my own list. :) You will need a fuel controller if you go to larger than stock injectors.

Have you ever heard of a "rod run" - well its what we mucle car guys do on weekends with other MC guys. there is a list of clues given out to each team with a single car. You find the clues until you reach the point you are supposed to get to and you win a prize of what ever it is. These are done alot up here in different MC clubs. I just thought that that is what that picture with the lasers were. Well any how my next post is a compilation of what we have now.

(280)
3. Hallman evo pro series manual boost controller (thanks to Dynoflash.com)

4. 660cc injectors
(???what price range are these in usually???)
5. walboro 255 LPH fuel pump (ebay)

660s are in the 300 range, and you will need a fuel controller and an AFPR.
The S-AFC is most common and works fine (300ish) and an AFPR from FullThrottleSpeed.com should be in the low hundred- 120 range.
The Hallman Pro is not cockpit adjustable, so you would eb stuck with one that "sucks rocks" according to your earlier post. It would work fine, though. ;)
Suspension is one you'll see alot of opinions on. I run KYB AGX shocks, and hate them, but I love the H&R springs on the old girl.
THe pic with all the cars was at one of our local meets. :)

Suspension is one you'll see alot of opinions on. I run KYB AGX shocks, and hate them, but I love the H&R springs on the old girl.
THe pic with all the cars was at one of our local meets. :)

660s are in the 300 range, and you will need a fuel controller and an AFPR.

1. Which one of the hallmans are cockpit adjustable then?
2. The S-AFC... is that the fuel controller?
3. What does AFPR stand for?

You WILL have to do some of your own research.
AFPR: Adjustable fuel pressure regulator
S-AFC: Super airflow controller
LOTS of info on these.

Ok thanks alot I think I am going to make a sepererate thread to just those two then. To the suspension thing. Yes we are looking for drag strip racing but we want this thing to handle like it is going to be in the le mans, and do at least decent in the snow in comparison to other vehicles.

Do not. Use the "search" feature, as well as the "before you ask a question" thread.
It has all been discussed to death on every DSM forum in existance.

Oops did it before you replied. I will check all of that though. The earch feature here does not work all that well. I usually hang out in the nissan area tried it there- it is not very organized. Sorry...
