2001 grand prix

I Have a 2001 grand prix.I just did a oil change and the change oil light stays on for 60 seconds after I start it up.This light would go off right away before the oil change.How do I get it to work like it did before the oil change?

its in the owner's manual, i remember doing this on my dad's GP
