Has anyone ever taken the deflector off of the butterfly on the Fuel Injector throttle body? It seemd as though you could make the engine breath better if it wasn't there.

A lot of people do and they actually sell modified blade throttlebodies on ebay. IMO they don't help much and you could screw up your egr gases Several people have done it and claim there's more power and no problems, but they're usually the ones who illegally cut out their catalytic converters because they think they'll go faster. If you take it out you have to be sure to plug the holes where it used to be with silicone or something.

It is there for a reason, leave it installed.
A good number of people have problems if they remove it.

I found someone on ebay that sells modified throttle bodies, ported and polished they say; and they have removed the old butterfly and replaced it with a bronze one with recessed screws. It looks pretty good but after the advice I received earlier I have 2nd thoughts.
