Suburban stops when ever it feels like it. Replaced cam senor by recommendation but did not correct problem. Was told maybe the crank senor was wondering if anyone has any other input.

Also what is a good tire for the Suburban. Mine is a 2500 series and I tow a 30 foot camper. It has the orginal firestone steel flex and they are hard. Any suggestions on either?

I have had a few 8.1s with an intermittant stall condition related to the crank sensor.
First verify that you don't have a fuel or some electrical problem first.
The crank sensor is located on the back left side of the engine and is a MF to replace.

Greetings. . . I own a 6.0 litre, 2500, 4X4, and recently replaced the worn factory Firestones (about 50,000 miles on them) with a new set of Michelin all-season heavy duty tires. I've beene extremely happy with them, escpecially in the snow and ice that is common where I live. The tires appear to be wearing very well and are extremely quiet on the highway. I have a friend with the same drivetrain in a pick-up and he swears by his Michelins as well. Good luck!

Did replacing the sensor solve the problem? I have the same issue.

Have you been able to resolve the problem, I am having the same. Stalls while driving hard to restart. Doesn't matter if cold or hot.
